Calling all photographers – it’s that time of year again! We’re delighted to be able to announce that entries for our annual photography competition are now open.
Last year’s competition was the best yet, and we received some stunning entries. Marie Rollitt’s photo, “Glaring Gannet” was declared the winner of the Seabirds category and was also chosen by our judges as the overall winner. It was even featured on the front cover of local publication, Dronfield Eye.
We’re looking forward to seeing your images for this year’s categories, which are Clouds, British Wildflowers in Spring, and The Natural History of UK Churchyards. Our thanks must go to Harrison Cameras of Sheffield, whose loyal support of the competition for another year means we’re able to provide vouchers for camera equipment for each category winner as well as the overall winning entry. The deadline for entries is 5pm on Friday 31st May.
To submit your entry, you can either send an envelope addressed for Maria Smith of the Dronfield Heritage Trust, or download an entry form from our website and send them digitally to dronfieldheritagetrust@outlook.com
Results will be announced on a special evening at a date to be announced. Winning entries will then be displayed in our gallery in the autumn. We wish you the very best of luck!
