Dronfield Heritage Trust would like to extend a big “thank you” to Rick and Dawn Jarvis-Lyne for their kind donation to the project. The couple had a spectacular lights display over the Christmas period, and donated half the proceedings they raised to the barn. The other half was donated to Angels Small Paws Dog Rescue.

The funds will go towards creating a sustainable future for the barn, with Heritage Lottery Funding ceasing next year.

Maria Smith, Activities and Interpretation Manager, said: “Donations like this are so important as we continue our journey to become self sufficient. I would like to thank Dawn and Rick for their very generous donation of £413.96”

They called into the barn on Saturday and Dawn is pictured handing the cheque over to Joyce Emmens, while Elizabeth I and a royal courtier look on. They make up part of our 15th and 16th century costume exhibition which is currently being held.

We appreciate all donations, whatever the amount. All money raised goes towards preserving and developing the barn and its gardens for future generations to enjoy. You can find out how to donate by clicking here.
