Calling all budding artists! Have you heard about our art workshops at Dronfield Hall Barn?

Over the next few weeks and months we are holding numerous workshops, which include learning to paint and draw, stained glass workshops and botanical illustration courses as well.

Why not come along to John Sutcliffe’s Hanging Boots workshops? As an experienced artist teacher, John will help you explore different techniques, methods and ways of seeing and expressing, whether it’s Abstract, Portrait or Landscape. You can work in a variety of media, including ink and charcoal, watercolour, acrylic, oils and collage. Workshops are both fun and challenging, encouraging questioning and engagement with the nature of fine art. They are suitable for beginners and those who wish to move on in their work. The upcoming dates for these workshops are: May 18th and May 25th. Sessions cost £20 for members and £30 for non-members, and start at 9am in The Peel Centre.

Or how about trying out Ian Ward’s stained glass workshops? These popular workshops are suitable for complete beginners and the more experienced, and with our friendly group you will work to produce beautiful pieces of stained glass. Workshops are being held on: June 5th, June 19th, July 3rd, July 17th, and July 31st. Sessions cost £8 for members and £12 for non-members, and start at 9:45am in The Peel Centre.

Finally, don’t forget to check out our botanical illustration courses. Over the course of this summer, we are lucky to be joined by renowned botanical artist Rachael Dawson, who will be holding a series of workshops. Here, you learn how to draw woodland plants and summer themed illustrations. These are to be held on May 22nd, June 19th and July 17th. Sessions cost £15 for members and £18 for non-members, and start at 9:30am in the Barn.
