Have you heard about our upcoming children’s summer activities coming up at the Barn? Starting this week, we’re holding a series of arts and nature themed activities throughout August.

Please note: these events take place on Thursday 3rd,10th,17th and 24th. They run from 10am-3pm, and there’s no need to book. However, we would appreciate you making a donation as we continue to develop the barn’s gardens and keep the venue as a place for all to enjoy. Minimum donation £1.

This week’s (August 3rd) activities are bird and bug themed. Try some wildlife spotting on a Barn bug hunt, learn about life cycles and create your own bird feeder!

Thursday 10th August: ‘Wild Art’ – find materials and help create a giant piece of land art in the Barn grounds – also make your own piece to take away.

Thursday 17th August: ‘Gnomes and Fairies’ – follow the trail round our beautiful gardens and make your own woodland fairy or gnome!

Thursday 24th August: ‘Habitats at the Barn’ – help us to make a bug hotel and create your own tube habitat to take home.

Don’t forget, On Tuesday 15th August, we will be holding a literary themed picnic in the grounds of the Barn. Dress up as your favourite book character and enjoy games, activities, a treasure trail and storytelling. This will run from 5pm-8pm, and tickets cost £5 for families.

The can book for this event by going to our events page, where you will see a complete list of what we have coming up at the Barn on a day by day basis.

We look forward to seeing you soon!
