There’s still time to join us for our dry stone walling courses – which start next Tuesday at the Barn.
So, if you’ve ever wondered how they stay up without cement, or how they are built, then be sure to book your place.
We are again offering you the chance to join Mike Baker, a waller and member of our gardening team, to learn about the history and theory of dry stone walling on the first day of the course. You will then be able to join him in the Peak District National Park (Ridgeway Side, Stanage Edge, Hathersage) on day two to help in building a wall. Places are limited, and workshops will be held over the following dates:
Tuesday 25th-Wednesday 26th June
Tuesday 2nd-Wednesday 3rd July
Tuesday 9th-Wednesday 10th July (CANCELLED)
Day one runs from 9:30am-12:30pm at the Barn, with day two taking place from 9:30am-3pm. It’s just £45 to join us (£40 for Friends), and you can book by asking in our café, calling 01246 418122, or by heading to our events page.
