A six week course in Botanical Illustration led by Rachael Dawson. Experience the delights of early spring garden and learn techniques to create detailed and life like botanical illustrations. Try out a range of pencils, watercolour paints and papers to develop a selection of your studies into a beautifully observed portrait of spring. All abilities welcome, a range of spring plants will be provided but students may also bring along their own to enhance their collection. A list of required equipment will be provided on booking. Rachael trained in botanical painting at The English Gardening school at Chelsea Physic Garden in London. She has over 10 years experience of botanical painting and has worked in public and private collections including The Highgrove Florilegium and The Hunt Institute for Botanical Documentation.
