Join Sarah Thursfield for this weekend and make a pattern for a doublet or kirtle, 1350-1500

Sarah Thursfield is the author of The Medieval Tailor’s Assistant , the essential handbook for reconstructing clothing: www.crowood.com/products/the-medieval-tailor-s-assistant-by-sarah-thursfield?_pos=1&_psq=Medieval&_ss=e&_v=1.0

We’ll work together to model a toile on your body,  draft it on paper, test the fit and draft a sleeve. Suitable for all skill levels:

equipment and materials will be available but do bring your own drawing and sewing tools if you have them. Please bring a length of calico, or an old sheet or duvet cover, for fitting and testing

Sarah will provide drafting paper and drawing tools, a sewing machine and ‘waste’ fabric for fitting and testing. But do bring your own if you’ve got it
