September 8th and 10th

Dronfield Hall Barn is taking part in this year’s Heritage Open Days, which take places on 7th-10th September.

HOD describes itself as ‘England’s largest festival of history and culture, bringing together over 2,500 organisations, 5,000 events and 40,000 volunteers. Every year for four days in September, places across the country throw open their doors to celebrate their heritage, community and history.

As part of this, Dronfield Hall Barn is holding two walks on Friday 8th and Sunday 10th which will both start at 2pm and take in Dronfield’s conservation areas. Dronfield has three conservation areas and this walk will look at the town centre area. During the walk we will look at the history of the area, the buildings and the people whilst also considering the importance of conservation areas in this year which marks the 50th anniversary of the designation of such areas.

These walks are free, but we require you to book on to them via our events page.
