Did you see our “Take a Walk Down High Street” exhibition? Has this inspired you to want to find out more about the history of Dronfield and its people?

Then you might be interested in joining our history research group, who were responsible for the exhibition and are always looking out for new members.

The history research group put the exhibition together based on work on census returns. It meets once a month on a Thursday, and the next meeting is due to take place on May 19th at 2pm in the Peel Centre. You don’t have to be a history expert – as they all learn from each other.

The group’s plans for the future include continuing to work their work on census returns and putting an exhibition together to mark the end of the First World War and its impact on Dronfield. They will also be doing work to improve their knowledge on conservation areas. If all this sounds like something that would interest you, why not come along to our next meeting and discover more?
