The weather looks set fair, and we’re all ready for our Medieval Festival this weekend! Make sure you join us from 11am-4pm on both Saturday 14th and Sunday 15th September to get involved with the action. There will be plenty to see and do for all ages, from spectacular combat displays from Knights in Battle, the chance to get up close to birds of prey from Hawks of Steele, and much, much more.

Make sure you familarise yourself with everything that’s happening throughout the weekend with the programme of events below:

At the front of the Barn…

Hawks of Steele – have your photo taken with a bird of prey any time across the weekend

Upstairs in the Barn Gallery…

Knights in Battle – the master steward of the hall, a lord & lady and a musician will spent their time both in the Barn as well as the gardens, so make sure you have a look in our gallery.

Stallholder – Stained Glass, Danum Slate, Elizabeth May Jewels, Quirky Metals, Crafty Vetty’s (Saturday only), Candle Craft, My Favourite Things – Greetings Cards. Support our stallholders and bag yourself a bargain.

In the Courtyard…

The Golden Grail Tavern – sample the very best drinks from the medieval period including traditional drinks from the Middle Ages, including orchard wine, mead, ale and grog.

Hot pork sandwiches, takeaway tea and coffee.
