We’re excited to introduce the Barn’s new Creative Manager to our many volunteers and supporters.
Sam Reavey is joining us from the Museum of Farnham, where he has spent three years working as an Assistant Curator. He has a decade of experience of working in museums and the heritage sector, during which he has helped curate numerous exhibitions and deliver community projects and events.
His other interests include a range of sports, including cycling, football, tennis and cricket. He is also passionate about nature, being a keen bird watcher and photographer – and has a particular love of butterflies and orchids, currently owning a collection of 30 orchids.
Sam will be starting at the Barn from Monday 28th June.
“I am very excited to be joining the team at the Barn, and am looking forward to meeting and working with you all. The Barn is a beautiful building with fantastic gardens that I’m looking forward to getting to know better, and I can’t wait to get started and start exploring the area!”
We hope that you will all give Sam your support and a warm welcome over his first few weeks and months. In additional to his practical experience in interpretation, archiving, and preparing exhibitions, we were impressed by Sam’s positive spirit and feel like he will fit in well with our team, and we’re looking forward to seeing what he can achieve.
