We are pleased to announce that we have two new books on sale at the barn, and both make for ideal Christmas gifts.

Local author Jane Marson has published a book on the history of the village of Unstone. Entitled On the Doorstep and Beyond the Gate, the book is full of eclectic photographs, anecdotes and maps.

“It is often the everyday, mundane things which are forgotten in history books,” Jane explains. “This book offers a unique collection of memories, anecdotes and images about how life in a Derbyshire village ‘On the Doorstep’ was part of the bigger picture of social history ‘Beyond the Gate’.”
