Aims and Objectives

Arts@S18 aims to offer its members the opportunity to engage in activities related to the broader area of arts and crafts including visual, musical and literature.  A further aim is to encourage the broader arts in Dronfield and surrounding area at all levels of ability and age groups.  This will be achieved by offering events such as workshops, exhibitions, concerts and readings and other relevant events.

Arts@S18 is an affiliated group within Dronfield Heritage Trust and  will encourage working with other established groups in Dronfield.

Launch Event with Sheffield Artist Joe Scarborough

Over 120 local people attended the launch of Arts@S18 where the well-known Sheffield artist Joe Scarborough who gave an interesting talk on his life and his art work.

Glass Workshops

We have been holding a series of workshops focusing on working with coloured glass, copper foil and solder to make a range of works from windows to angles for Xmas.  These workshops are continuing net year.

2019 Events

Join us for three hour workshops being led by John Sutcliffe starting from January 2019!

We are delighted to be working with with our Resident Artist to run a series of afternoon courses on a variety of different art forms. As a highly experienced teacher and practitioner, John will lead you through different methods of art making, allowing you to take your art in the direction you desire. The workshops are suitable for anyone with an interest in making art, no matter what your experience. Developing and building skills at your own pace. Each art form; drawing, painting, print making, mixed media and sculpture is covered in 3-4 week modules and then developed at a later stage, so you can pick up where you left off, having gained experience in other areas.

Workshops will run from 1:30pm-4:30pm in The Peel Centre on the following dates:
January 10th, 17th, 24th, 31st
February 7th, 14th, 28th
March 7th, 14th, 21st, 28th
Members £15 per session (£20 for non-members) or £150 for all 11 session, (£200 for non-members).
