Dronfield residents who have been working remotely during the pandemic can opt for a change of scene when Dronfield Hall Barn opens its doors to business users. A rent-a-desk facility will be available in our beautiful gallery. The new facility is ideal for the self-employed, freelancers and those employees who are not expected back into the office for the foreseeable future.
What’s on offer?
There is space for up to six socially-distanced desks, so advanced booking is essential. Half-day and full-day reservations are both available, and start at £10 +vat for half a day. The Barn will provide free wifi, free tea and coffee, and access to printing facilities. A table service of food available from the Coffee Shop means workers can enjoy undisturbed hours to meet those important deadlines!
Business at the Barn – more than a desk
Anyone familiar with the popular arts and cultural venue in the centre of Dronfield will know that the charity running the Barn has created a unique facility in a beautiful setting. It has become a community hub for local creatives, history-lovers, and gardeners, and is booked several years ahead for weddings. Now it’s time to serve local businesses and provide support to help their work flourish. This is not just about booking space, but also about meeting others who decide to work here too. Business at the Barn is a new venture which allows people to hold meetings, small conferences, find quiet interview rooms, and network with other entrepreneurs, business owners and professionals. The staff running the service understand business needs, including access to wifi, power points for laptops and mobile charging, an element of privacy, and quiet places to take and make calls. Covid-safety is also a priority and desks are cleaned for change of user.
This project has been made possible due to funding received from the National Lottery Heritage Fund.
