Have you heard about our upcoming events at the Barn over the summer months? These are ideal for families and kids, so do come along.
On Tuesday 15th August, we will be holding a literary themed picnic in the grounds of the Barn. Dress up as your favourite book character and enjoy games, activities, a treasure trail and storytelling. This will run from 5pm-8pm, and tickets cost £5 for families – you can book by going to our events page.
We will also be holding a series of weekly children’s activities through August as well. They are all about arts and nature, and will give children chance to try nature-inspired activities and hone their arts and craft skills! These events are free admission, but we welcome any donations (minimum £1) as we continue to develop the gardens and keep the Barn as a venue for all to enjoy. They run from 10am-3pm.
Thursday 3rd August: ‘Birds and Bugs’ – try some wildlife spotting on a Barn bug hunt, learn more about life cycles and create your own bird feeder.
Thursday 10th August: ‘Wild Art’ – find materials and help create a giant piece of land art in the Barn grounds – also make your own piece to take away.
Thursday 17th August: ‘Gnomes and Fairies’ – follow the trail round our beautiful gardens and make your own woodland fairy or gnome!
Thursday 24th August: ‘Habitats at the Barn’ – help us to make a bug hotel and create your own tube habitat to take home.
We look forward to seeing you at the Barn for what is sure to be a fantastic summer.
