10th Anniversary Appeal

It is ten years since the Old Hall Barn in the centre of Dronfield was brought back to life. Neglected and weed-infested, the Grade II* listed structure was a classic case of heritage at-risk.

The £1.5million restoration project was completed in 2015 funded by a significant grant from the National Lottery Heritage Fund and kind donations from local businesses and members of the community. The Barn is now an award-winning Heritage, Cultural and Hospitality venue attracting over 50,000 visitors a year from around the country.

2025 is our ten year anniversary and to mark this we are launching our first major charitable appeal for funds since the restoration began and we’d welcome any support you can give either financial or in-kind to help secure the long term future of the Barn.

Would you like to be part of our plans? If you do please consider donating to the charity so the Barn can continue supporting the local community.

Why your help is so important

With your help we aim to raise £50,000 in this year’s appeal. The money you donate will be used to carry out essential modernisation and refurbishment along with providing a wider range of education and community support programmes. We’d also like to develop a history and archaeology education programme, as well as expanding our family-friendly events.

All the proceeds from our coffee shop, retail, events and weddings are reinvested for the upkeep of the Barn.

Literally every penny counts for us. Whatever you are able to donate will make a difference!
