As we’ve now been open to the public for two weeks, we’re looking for volunteers to assist us out as we continue our phased reopening of the Barn. If you are able to get out and about again then this is a great way to support a local community charity.

We have created the new role of Support Volunteer, and we require people who can spare a few hours a week. This can be on a temporary basis whilst some of our regular volunteers are shielding or a long-term basis.

The Support Volunteers are…
• Providing a point of information for visitors and welcoming people back to the building, recording any feedback and passing it on to staff
• Keeping the Barn safe – wiping down door handles, surfaces etc
• Supervising the queuing system, checking bookings and providing information and directions to the visitors
• Maintaining book/merchandise tables and monitoring and assisting visitors with plant sales

We are a lovely, friendly team, the role is flexible and there are many other opportunities to be involved in the project.  As the government guidance is being constantly updated the role will be updated as we progress. Contact Maria on dronfieldheritagetrust@outlook.com or call 07814 140034 if you are able to help.
