Dronfield Heritage Trust is holding a talk on the work of Dale Chihuly next week on the 10th March.

Chihuly is a celebrated American glass sculptor. His work is included in more than 200 museum collections around the world, and he has won numerous awards including 12 honorary doctorates and two fellowships from the National Endowment for the Arts.

His work is considered unique in the field of glass blowing, and Chihuly has created more than a dozen well-known series of works.

Ian Ward, who has visited Chihuly’s galleries in the USA, will be hosting the talk. Additionally, there will be a video of his exhibition from Kew Gardens. Come along on Thursday evening at 7:30pm to hear much more about Chihuly’s fascinating work.
