Back by popular demand, make sure you don’t miss our on our Dry Stone Walling courses. The course is split into two days, the first at the Barn and the second in the beautiful Peak District! Led by Mike Baker, you will learn the history, theory and technique of dry stone walling at the Barn. On the second day you will travel to Ridgeway Side, near Hathersage, and be joined by Tom Lewis – a Peak District Park Area Ranger and put what you have learnt into practice. All abilities are welcome – but please be aware that there are only 12 places available per session. The first workshop takes on May 17th-18th, with the second June 21st-22nd. On May 24th, join Ann Brown, one of our archivists, as she explores this event—(just over) 100 years since the Russian Revolution. Illustrated with captivating images from Ann’s trip to Russia, her talk will give a detailed description of the events that lead to the rise of the Soviet Union.
