Come and see the barn decorated for the festive season and enjoy our programme of events!

DHB is holding a “Christmas at the Barn” event that will run over two days, on the 2nd and 3rd of December.

Activities will run from 6:30-9pm on the 2nd, and will include a performance by Dronfield Choir Singers. You will also be able to enjoy refreshments including mulled win and mince pies, plus see our new rendition of Poor Old Horse. We brought back this tradition last year, and this year students from Dronfield Henry Fanshawe have been working on bringing it up to date. Father Christmas will also be dropping by, so be sure to bring your kids along.

On the 3rd, Sunday Best – a Medieval Choir who performed at the barn’s open weekend – will perform, as well as Dronfield Handbell Ringers. There will also be a selection of children’s craft activities and stalls running, including where you will be able to make decorations. All this will take place from 10am-3pm.

Both days are free, so there’s no need to book!

Additionally, on December 8th from 6:30pm till 10pm, we are holding a Medieval Banquet, with music and a minstrel! This is a four course meal, and includes a welcome drink. Just £30, booking essential! Please email bookings.dht@outlook.com, or call Maria on 07814 140034Click here to download the banquet menu.

Come and join us on December 10th, to hear Christmas music performed by The Highcliffe Brass Quintet. The acclaimed quintet will take you on a seasonal musical journey, “From Medieval to Modern”, and you will be able to enjoy a glass of mulled wine and mince pies. This will start at 7:30pm, and is bookable via our events page.

Lastly, on December 18th, we will be holding our second Local Producers’ Market. Our first was a huge success and was very well supported by everyone. Be sure to come and get your last minute Christmas presents and food! It will run from 11am to 4pm, and there is no need to book.
